Privacy Policy
Quotely ("the app", "we") is a Shopify app that lets merchants hide pricing and collect quote requests from their customers. This policy explains what personal data the app processes on a merchant's behalf, why, and how it's protected — separate from Shopify's own privacy policy, which governs the merchant's use of the Shopify platform itself.
What we collect
When someone submits a quote request through a merchant's storefront, we collect:
- Name and email address (always)
- Phone number and company name (only if the merchant's form asks for them)
- Any custom field values the merchant's quote form collects
- The product(s), quantity, and pricing details of the request
We don't collect browsing history, device fingerprints, or any data unrelated to the quote itself.
Why we process it
- To display and manage the quote request in the merchant's admin
- To send status update emails (quote received, sent, accepted, expiring) to the merchant and the customer
- To convert an accepted quote into a Shopify draft order, when the merchant chooses to do so
We don't use this data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond running the quote workflow the merchant set up.
How it's protected
- Name, email, and phone number are encrypted at rest in our database
- All data in transit is sent over HTTPS
- Access to merchant data is limited to what's needed to run the app — we don't sell or share it with advertisers or data brokers
Who we share it with
Only two places, both required for the app to function:
- Shopify — when a merchant converts a quote into a draft order, via Shopify's own Admin API
- Our email delivery provider — to send the notification emails described above
How long we keep it
Quote data is kept for as long as the merchant uses the app. If a customer's data-deletion request is received from Shopify, or a merchant uninstalls the app, the associated personal data is deleted from our systems.

If you're a customer of a store using Quotely and want your data accessed or deleted, contact the merchant directly, or reach us at the address below — we support Shopify's standard data request and redaction process for all merchants using the app.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
